Glitch Lacquer is a small US indie polish brand run by Bree, who hand-mixes every shade in small batches. Her formulas lean experimental, with a real focus on magnetic pigments, reflective particles, and jelly bases that reward layering. Aphrodite's Kiss is one of her most beloved annual releases, and shades from it tend to sell out fast when restocked.

Keep Your Heart, named after the Halsey song, is a cool purple jelly with a pink-gold-green-blue glowy shift. Released in early 2026, Aphrodite's Kiss was Glitch Lacquer's love letter to layering. Most of the collection is built around magnetic pigments and reflective glitters, so the polishes shift dramatically depending on light, angle and what you wear underneath. Bree, the maker behind Glitch, leaned heavily into jelly and sheer bases, which means many of these wear beautifully alone but really shine when layered over a creme base.

Shades to try first

Heart of the Ocean is one of the collection's popular shades: a deep blue jelly with a blue-to-purple magnetic pigment and blue glitters. Lovey Dovey is a warm pink magnetic with a pink-to-gold reflective shimmer - a classic Valentine's shade. Astral Glass is the wildcard: a silver magnetic topper with iridescent flakes that transforms anything you put it over.

Application notes

Polishes with reflective glitters (Enchanted Peony, Lavender Haze) may benefit from a smoothing top coat. The jelly bases (Heart of the Ocean, Fire Opal, Dream Opal, Keep Your Heart) build up best in two to three thin coats.
